There is a difference between being a Christian who is a medical professional, and being missional. A growing movement of medical disciples are choosing to live missionally here in the United States, serving Christ through healthcare among marginalized peoples. Many of those working in these medically underserved settings are finding that working and living incarnationally and cross-culturally, in settings where needs are high and resources are low, prepares them well for work overseas. Others, choosing to work long term in these settings are finding fruitful fields for demonstrating and declaring the good news, and living as ambassadors of Christ's kingdom. This session explores what missional medicine looks like in both urban and rural settings in the United States.
