GMHC 2023

Heleen Yoder served from 2003-2020 in various positions in Sierra Leone, working with children affected by war, poverty, disability, gender-based violence and Ebola. She also worked with adults living with mental health and substance use disorders. Currently she is the Director of “Nyandengoh!”, an organization providing care for children with disabilities and their families in the rural south of Sierra Leone. Since 2020 she supports this organization remotely and through short-term visits.
